Psh, Raleigh doesn't mind being obvious that much.

"Hold me to what?" Raleigh smirks at Chuck, shirt hanging open as he stuffs his hands into his own pockets, leading Chuck inside to the elevators and winking at the front desk girl on the way over.

If Raleigh was gonna change his mind, Chuck'd know it by now. They wouldn't be getting in the elevator and Raleigh wouldn't be swiping his card and punching the 17 button, and he sure wouldn't be pushing Chuck against the wall and wedging a knee between his thighs, mouth settling on Chuck's neck.

Raleigh swallows him down and is just smirking like crazy as he gets to his feet.

"Seven."

Chuck is rolling his eyes and pulling Raleigh in to kiss him sloppy.

"Don't take me somewhere nice," he threatens, dipping his hand to his crotch to squeeze loosely. "But seven."

"No high class for us," he mumbles, nipping at Chucks lower lip.

He's so pleased with himself.

"And we're sitting in the back row at the movies and I'm returning the favor," he says with a leer, tucking himself back into his pants and zipping up.

Yeah like he said -- definitely no high class.

That's cool. He's totally okay with that, really.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll see you tonight."

"Yeah, tonight."

...there might be a twenty minute of frustration that night about what to wear, torn between wanting to surprise him and looking nice or showing he doesn't really wanna put in an effort.

He finally settles on torn, well-worn jeans, and a tight grey t-shirt. He'll just be waiting outside to avoid awkward things.

Raleigh is looking nicer, though he's not dressed up by any means. He'd settled on regular wash jeans and a nice button down, but he didn't go all out. Chuck insisted they not go anywhere nice so he's not really dressed to kill, but he still looks nice enough.

He's kind of glad that Chuck's waiting outside, talking to Herc would be awkward as shit.

Yeah, that was his motivation for not waiting for him to ring the doorbell--or, you know, MEET HIM AT THE THEATER (because now Herc's weird about it and wondering why his kid is waiting outside for a while before heading out to a movie ostensibly on his own).

He's sort of up like a shot and down the street, dragging Raleigh along by the hand. "Keep your head down, he's watching," he mutters.

What, he can't think they're friends or something? Or hell -- even dating, though maybe Herc wouldn't be thrilled his son was going out with a dude. Hard to say. Raleigh's pretty sure Yancy doesn't give a shit who he dates (he's brought one of each home to meet the family before so no one is surprised, honestly) but, maybe Herc does.

"...Okay."

It's either cause Chuck's ashamed or...who knows. He keeps his head down anyway though.

Oh, Herc doesn't care who or what gender Chuck dates, Chuck just doesn't really want to have that conversation with his dad. He's probably going to get grilled about it when he gets home though.

As for being ashamed.....well that's not completely accurate.

He's still holding his hand once they get to a more populated part of town, so. There you go. "What movie were you thinking of?"

Raleigh's pleased that they're still holding hands, and he threads his fingers with Chuck's and keeps a firm grip.

His. His boyfriend.

"There's a new zombie one out. Dunno if that's your thing."

What who used the 'b' word this is their first date.
But laced fingers is okay, Chuck's not pulling away.

"Whatever, I'm not going to be spending a lot of time watching the screen."

Uh huh, okay.

"You could pretend you're not out with me just for that, you know." He nudges him a little and grins - he's mostly teasing.

Seriously! Chuck's not even convinced he likes Raleigh.

"Well I'm not going to jump your bones at dinner," he snorts. "If you still wanna do that."

Good. Cause Raleigh likes Chuck, for whatever reason.

"Was thinking about it." He casually squeezes Chuck's hand.

"Hungry?"

Chuck can't figure it out.

"I could get a burger." He glances down at their clasped hands and squeezes back lightly. "Unless you wanna see the movie first."

Chuck smirks.

Nah, he's pretty hungry.

"Cool."

He leads him over to the local burger place, because it's the best and Raleigh really likes their fries, okay.

Of course, they have to let go of their hands to get their food. Sorry, Rals.

"So, why'd you ask me out?" He has to ask. Maybe not with his mouth full of burger, but. Teenagers.

Teenagers.

"Because I wanted to." He picks at his fries, and chomps one down. "Why?"

"Well, y'know, we don't really get along." And a lot of that is Chuck's fault, but Raleigh gives as much as he gets, so he's not really blameless either.

"Are you sure it's not just because you want to fuck me again?" Not that he'd blame him.

Raleigh is faaar from blameless.

"If I just wanted that, I would've taken you up on your earlier offer."

And not shouted to the heavens for you to go out with him.

Yup.

"Yeah, instead of shouting out to half the school that you wanted to date me." Chuck rolls his eyes, plays with his straw. Just--he's such a mess. Attractive and awesome, sure, but there hasn't been much interest beyond the occasional hook up.

Raleigh grins, and picks up his coke and takes a sip.

"You were so bitchy about it, too."

He can't ask someone out because they have a pretty face and a snarky attitude? Sue him.

"Well, if I'm dating someone, the whole damn class doesn't need to watch it like a damn reality show," he grumbles, biting the end of the straw.

...yeah all right.

"They'll find out anyway," he points out before grabbing another french fry and nibbling on the end of it before popping the whole thing in his mouth.
